karl oves kamp 1

they peep and peep the whole night through. Its babies, nagging to their mother for food. Here is a picture that I didn’t take but Håkon Likvern did.

the exhibition is blooming! Tomorrow I will start hanging up the works and on monday it opens. People here have a hard time getting out of their nice little sofas. I think there will be few people at the gallery opening. Either way I will be so glad on monday night when its all hanging up.

I dreamed I met Will Oldham, and he was a bit of a moron. I think I told him that too. We sat in the grass somewhere and he was very happy and talkative. Thats about all i recall. Today has been pretty good, the garden is great but the weather is cold and I am a bit lazy in the weekends now that I work every day. The lillies I have planted are starting to grow grow grow! 5 cm now. And the...

I am very content with my quiet life here in Elverum lately, because I have a job now and because I really like it there, and because I have a new friend that I meet up with weekly, her name is Stine and she is great.:) In about 12 days Dirk comes and will stay for the summer. He’s gotten a summerjob at a bar called Soundgarden. After summer he goes to Belgium to study. I’ve applied...

Some days are just miserable. The reasons are nothing out of the ordinary, they just hit you alot harder all of a sudden, or you don’t have that resistance you have other days. The only cure (and the cure is really simple) is to go out and get distracted. So that’s what I’m gonna do. In the meantime some bird news: theres a black big bird here that’s come too early. (svart...

7th of febuary
well now I’m 29 and I feel like I’m 64!! So what’s the big deal really. its all so relative. I made two cakes, but only my brother and his family showed up, which was crappy, not that they came but the fact that nobody else came. I dont know who I was expecting to be honest. I spent the day baking and took a walk and watched “you will meet a tall dark stranger” which...

Oh my lord
I thought I`d take a walk today It`s a mistake I sometimes make My children lay asleep in bed My wife lay wide-awake I kissed her softly on the brow I tried not to make a sound But with stony eyes she looked at me And gently squeezed my hand Call it a premonition, call it a crazy vision Call it intuition, something learned from mother But when she looked up at me, I could clearly see ...
